Prior to creating YAAY, products on the shelf didn't match how we live, or what we actually wanted fibre for. So we made our own.

How It Started

Meet Pete and Hilton. Both are certified personal trainers and gym owners who've spent over a decade in the Adelaide fitness industry. Their careers were built around understanding what the body needs to perform, recover, and feel good.

They'd also been taking psyllium husk for years — Pete stirring it into his Weet-Bix every morning like some kind of wellness punishment. Gloopy. Gritty. But it worked. They just didn't love the process.

As a gay couple, Pete and Hilton understood those benefits in ways that went well beyond the bathroom, and into the bedroom. Psyllium wasn't just a gut health thing for them. It was a confidence thing. A spontaneity thing. An intimate thing.

But when they looked at what was actually available, the options were… slim. Small capsules required a handful a day to get a decent dose, psyllium on its own was often too dry, and nobody had thought to combine it with anything that actually made the experience better. And that was just the product. The messaging stopped at constipation. The audience was your grandpa. The vibe was medical.

One breakfast conversation kickstarted it all. Skip the gloop, bundle the benefits into an easy to consume capsule, fix the formula. So they made YAAY.

Working with a specialist nutraceuticals company in Melbourne, Pete and Hilton formulated More Than Fibre Capsules — a natural blend of psyllium husk and aloe vera, designed to support smoother digestion, and cleaner, more complete bowel movements. Every batch is manufactured at a TGA-licensed facility in Melbourne to Australian quality standards.

Pete also works as cabin crew for Qantas. If you've ever wondered how important a reliable gut is when you're at 30,000 feet with 200 passengers and limited bathroom access — ask a flight attendant who also sells fibre supplements.

Psyllium Husk

a natural soluble fibre derived from the Plantago ovata plant. In capsule form, it bypasses your stomach and breaks down in the large intestine. That's where the cleanup happens. It absorbs water, forms a gel, and bulks and softens your stool. The result: more complete bowel movements, less bloating, and significantly less wiping.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera

provides what we call "slip." Psyllium by itself can be dry, and without enough water, it can actually do the opposite of what you want. Aloe vera soothes the digestive lining, adds moisture, and makes the whole experience gentler. It's also a natural antioxidant internally — so your insides are getting looked after, not just moved along.

We didn't just throw these together. We worked closely with a specialist nutraceuticals company in Melbourne to develop the formulation. Every batch is manufactured at a TGA-licensed facility to Australian standards.
